The Lighthouse Cottages and Camping is a family oriented resort centrally located in Sprucedale in Northern Muskoka and is just west of Algonquin Park. The resort is situated on very private Bear lake and is surrounded by dense hardwood forest and picturesque views. The area's natural beauty and landscape offers a welcome relief from the stresses of the city.
Comfortably rustic 1, 2, or 3-bedroom cottages overlooking the lake are available for weekend or long term rental. All of our cottages have been recently renovated and come fully furnished. Lighthouse Cottages are equipped with running water, flush toilets, gas cooking, micro-wave, dishes and cooking utensils. Each Cottage also comes it's own propane BBQ. Shade trees assure privacy yet no Cottage is more than a stone's throw from the beach!
The kids will love the play area and warm shallow water. Parents can keep an eye on the little ones from the comfort of the cottage, looking out the large picture windows facing the Lake or from the comfort of the screened-in waterfrong gazeebo.
The fishing rarely lets anyone down and even the first-timer's seem to pull in a great catch. Pickerel, Northern Pike, Small and Large Mouth Bass, Panfish, and Mudcat are in abundance in the waters of Bear Lake. For your convenience a fish cleaning hut is available near the waters edge.
Nature's premier fall display is world famous. Consider comining up in the fall but be sure not to forget your camera. Our fall colours are breathtaking.
17 tent and trailer camping sites are also availble for short term or seasonal rental. For the convenience of all campers we offer a very clean washroom and shower factility. Camping site are only steps away from the lake and are situated among stands of Maple and Silver Birch.
